I don’t know how I survived winter without this.

So in the winter, my skin gets super dry. Not cracked, but uncomfortably tight. And I hate how greasy lotion makes me feel if it doesn’t absorb right away.

And then I went to Nordstrom Rack with my mother, and found this massive tube of magic.

It is a super-sized tube of Bliss Lemon+Sage Body Butter Maximum Moisture Cream, and it is wonderful. It’s super thick but absorbs surprisingly fast, and the scent is very light. I think it’s a little too heavy for using on my face, especially since I break out easy, but for the rest of my body it’s great.

I don’t really like traditional “wintery” scents like  vanilla and other sugary stuff, and around this time of the year that’s all that’s in stores. However, I really like this candle that I got in Bath and Body Works a few years ago but never burned, called Snowed In.

I don’t know if they make the scent anymore, and if they don’t I kind of regret buying the tiniest one. It’s almost completely gone. It smells vaguely like men’s cologne, not like Axe but a very subtle masculine sort of smell. When I was in college, the girls living down the hall bought a spray bottle of Febreeze called Warm Winter Comfort or something, and after smelling it we promptly dubbed it Sexy Man Febreeze. This candle smells like a more subtle version of that. But it might just be more subtle because we’re not spraying it all over the place.

In addition to the lotion and the candle I am wrapped in a quilt, next to the space heater, wearing the cutest booties (more on those later) taking a study break and spending my snow day knitting a sweater (that’ll also be another post).
